Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-panel
Fresh installation of 7.10 Beta. To produce the problem I press CTRL-ALT-F1 to go to the first console. Without entering any commands I enter ALT-F7 to go back to the graphical screen. I have a moving white mouse, but the rest of the screen is black. Sometimes the keyboard also does not function, requiring a crash/power off to reset. If the keyboard works, I can go back to the CTRL-ALT-F1 console, enter "sudo /etc/init.d/gdm restart" and everything is okay again.
