I know the patch is a bit "dirty", as it just adds another special case
while it should use a generic "escape everything" method from somewhere.
However, I don't know the C# standard library well (or at all) and I
couldn't find any other instances of string escaping in other C#
programs in Ubuntu.

For some reason, brasero in karmic doesn't find any CD/DVD drives on my
system. This also affects sound-juicer (which complains about hal not
running?)
Running devkit-disks --monitor does show changes when I insert/remove my
CD; the drive show up
sound-juicer does work when it's started when there's no CD in the drive
(and the CD is inserted afterwards).
The CD drive also disappears from computer:/// when there's a disc in
it.

One thing I've discovered that still fails is launching the web browser
(the one set in Gnome "preferred application" settings, dynamically). I

Ran gwibber-service -o -d and found out that for some reason the CA used
by Twitter's API wasn't set to "Trusted".
dpkg-reconfigure ca-certificates and enabling it fixed it!

Simon, are you on amd64 as well? I'm still seeing the problem (enable
gconf flag, go to next song -> volume goes down in the way described in
the bug report)

the device, then selecting the codec). Then I copied some files to my
Android device, and the files were stored as .mp3.

I still see this problem on today's Karmic.
Ctrl+Alt+L locks the screen, but the screen will never go into power-
save mode later on (it has been like this for most of the Karmic cycle).

When I play a FLAC file with ReplayGain information in Rhythmbox with
the ReplayGain feature enabled (gconf /apps/rhythmbox/use_replaygain =
true), the sound volume goes down to zero in the first second.

Turning the ReplayGain feature off (using gconf-editor) makes the volume
slider behave normally again (immediately!). It stays at 0 until you
move it though.

skips ahead as if I was pointing at the video (or its position bar)
while turning the mouse wheel.
It will even skip to the next/previous item if you scroll far enough.

I created /etc/X11/Xsession.d/85local with one line of content: "export
UBUNTU_MENUPROXY=0".
This turned the global menus off correctly, but it also made all the
indicators disappear (sometimes they'd show for a fraction of a second).
