Public bug reported: Binary package hint: brasero
For some reason, brasero in karmic doesn't find any CD/DVD drives on my system. This also affects sound-juicer (which complains about hal not running?) Running devkit-disks --monitor does show changes when I insert/remove my CD; the drive show up in "devkit-disks --dump": Showing information for /org/freedesktop/DeviceKit/Disks/devices/sr0 native-path: /sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1f.2/host0/target0:0:0/0:0:0:0/block/sr0 device: 11:0 device-file: /dev/sr0 by-path: /dev/disk/by-path/pci-0000:00:1f.2-scsi-0:0:0:0 detected at: wo 15 jul 2009 18:36:54 CEST system internal: 0 removable: 1 has media: 1 (detected at wo 15 jul 2009 18:43:58 CEST) detects change: 1 detection by polling: 1 detection inhibitable: 1 detection inhibited: 0 is read only: 0 is mounted: 0 mount paths: mounted by uid: 0 presentation hide: 0 presentation name: presentation icon: size: 655923200 block size: 2048 job underway: no usage: type: version: uuid: label: drive: vendor: Optiarc model: DVD+-RW AD-7200S revision: 101A serial: detachable: 0 ejectable: 1 media: optical_cd compat: optical_cd optical_cd_r optical_cd_rw optical_dvd optical_dvd_plus_r optical_dvd_plus_r_dl optical_dvd_plus_rw optical_dvd_r optical_dvd_ram optical_dvd_rw optical_mrw optical_mrw_w interface: scsi if speed: (unknown) ATA SMART: not available ======================================================================== ProblemType: Bug Architecture: amd64 Date: Wed Jul 15 18:52:55 2009 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 Package: brasero 2.27.4-0ubuntu1 ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, user) LANG=nl_NL.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-3.19-generic SourcePackage: brasero Uname: Linux 2.6.31-3-generic x86_64 ** Affects: brasero (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug -- Brasero can't find CD drives anymore https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/399840 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
