Even if a fix has been released, this bug is still present in 8.04 hardy
kubuntu live after

Sorry, last statement is obviously wrong since ext4 is compatible to
ext3, it isn't necessary to upgrade to grub2 to boot on a ext4 partition
and I can confirm that grub is actually able to boot a 9.04 ubuntu
freshly formatted to ext4.

Binary package hint: evolution
After upgrading to jaunty, in my wife account, evolution stop printing
and previewing, simply print and preview does nothing.
Some sparse note:
1) this is not a 'host' bug, in my account evolution works and print, the
problem arise only in my
...as just sayed, my user in the same box print and preview correctly, and also
my wife can print and preview contacts (but not calendars and mails).
So i don't need to create a user to test it.

Hola Jordi,
I just upgraded my main PC to jaunty, after running it quite
successfully on my laptop for a bit. I have exactly the same issue as
you, and I've also got an nvidia card (on the PC; intel on the laptop).
I disabled the nvidia drivers and the crashes went away - well, for at
least over a
very similar here, with nvidia: had loads of problems with the 180
drivers. removing proprietary drivers worked well - no crashes at all -
but of course, no compiz niceness. now trying the nvidia 173 driver. no
problems as of yet (> 1h).
To downgrade the nvidia drivers go to System | Administratio
yes, sorry, that was an issue as well - the experience was just not as
"smooth" really (even emacs GTK was a bit flickery!). Can't speak for
the 9x drivers - didn't have to go that far down - but I must say I had
no problems as of yet with v173, so I recommend those.
