Doubleclick
ncept demo some year ago (about when we switched from
the 'squared' font) but the idea wasn't pursued for lack of interest
(and display performance reasons, too).
Another reason is that the plotting infrastructure need to implement
text in postscript/PDF too and that is even more tric
outlined in pages 50-51 of the specs make me think a lot of
experimentation and care is needed.
I think it could be done (good quality results are not guaranteed,
anyway...). There *is* a reason for the major cad manufacturer to
recommend stroke fonts in place of outline ones.

I have the same problem but it's critical for me as I use LTSP primarily
to connect my thin clients to a Windows Terminal Server with rdesktop.
Since LTSPFS reports no free space on USB drives, users are unable to
save any data on such devices ("copy anyway" is not available in this
configuration)
My temporary solution is to downgrade the ltspfs package from 1.1-2
(precise) to 0.9-0ubuntu1 (oneiric) either on the server and the chroot.
Everything works fine now.

It is not so annoying, 'cause it is necessary only once per

Same problem in Precise, Rhythmbox version 2.96: album arts are never
shown... the strange thing is that in the dock popup window which
appears when starting playing a song the album art is actually shown,
but not in Rhythmbox

I think unity-lens-applications should Depend (not Recommend or Suggest)
zeitgeist OR zeitgeist-core for installation. On some system the
zeitgeist daemon may not be installed, thus causing the lens to
malfunction.

I would like to point out that the original bug I reported was due to
zeitgeist not being installed because the lens does not hard-depend on
zeitgeist-core.
The issue reported by Chris Johnston (comment #4) is about zeitgeist-
