I some times get this if I have a large number of windows open. I
disabled visual effects. Problem went away. It said "could not enable
visual effects" when I tried to re-enable visual effects. I closed some
windows, including one which was frozen, and then it allowed me to re-
enable desktop effe

OK, after more than an hour of CPU time, ntfsresize appeared to finish.
It doesn't appear to have done anything as /dev/sda is still one big
NTFS partition. Now ntfsresize has started again, while "Scanning

I was installing onto a 500GB device that was ntfs formatted, and had
120GB of free space. As it turns out ntfsresize couldn't create 30MB of

This could be a driver issue since there is no driver for the 1210, so I
had to try the 1000 and 1260 drivers. Ho
I use breezy.
I have just borrowed a dapper machine, and have not been able to
replicate it under dapper. Should probably be closed.

Could not reproduce bug when using -safe-mode.
Perhaps I should just upgrade to 7.10, and see if the problem goes away.

I am running ubiquity under VirtualBox 1.5.4 to test the Hardy installer
under low memory situations. I am using 192MB ram and a 128MB ccache
virtual swap partition.
Ubiquity defaults to attempt to install to /dev/ccache. This is

It has been merged into the Fedora 8 kernel. I suspect that RedHat is
pushing for inclusion into upstream for that very reason.

Run ubiquity on LiveCD.
Choose manual partitioning
Right click ntfs partion, and select edit
In the dialog no "New partition size" entry will be available. This
entry is available for ext3 part
