I am not sure, if it was the first one or not, but note that I couldn't
even quit Firefox normally. Maybe it would be wise to prompt user to
quit Firefox before updating it, and skip updating Firefox, if user

You are right, but as Thunar currently shows the status of being in
either mode, it would be more handy to change the mode in Thunar than to
open a teminal in current directory and run "gksudo thunar" there.

As for reproducing, I am impotent under pressure, but in case I meet the
bug again some time, how can I attach the session to this report? What
other data could be relevant? As general hint to reproduce, I suggest to
open lots of tabs and windows, then reboot and let Firefox open windows
automatica
Now I found out that I can move by dragging. I didn't find any way to do
it by keyboard, though.
