Public bug reported: At least in 8.04 and 8.10.
Steps to reproduce: 1) Turn off external monitor 2) Connect it to laptop 3) Turn on laptop to boot ubuntu Result: No splash screen or other boot information is displayed in laptop's own display before login screen that is displayed also in laptop's own display.. I expect such information displayed only in laptop's own display, if external display is turned off, but only in an external display, if it is connected and turned on. (laptop's display and external display may have different aspect ratio and display resolution.) ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Laptop's boot time information is output to an external display (only) even if it is turned off https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/302313 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
