worked... I updated from 14.04 to 14.10 on Nov 1st, and encountered a
problem, I saw that update-manager had taken a snapshot before
completing the update, but after rollback I found that the snapshot was

Should have added that this is 11.04 Alpha2 installer... I would have
tried with the daily build also, but for some reason the keyboard stops

after upgrading on reboot, the system failed to start becuase it could
not find init. This was because it mounted subvolume 0 as the root
filesystem (in the initrd?) I set the default subvolume to @, and the
system then boote

It seems that the preview pane in nautilus does not honor the theme,
although if you open the message in a separate window it does... see
attached screenshot, also here:-

After some more testing & using it for several hours, at one point it
suddenly picked up the theme... and now remains correct... strange!

I've noticed that I can no-longer record the output of an existing audio
device by selecting the input to be Eg. "Monitor of internal audio"...
the device still appears available, but it is always silent...
This is with Maverick Alpha 3, with

I opened "Sound Recorder", "Pulseaudio Volume Control" (from the package
pavucontrol) and "Rhythmbox" (to provide a sound source).
It's actually somthing I should have put in papercuts that I don't see a
way to select the input device from within "Sound Recorder", but none
the less...

I can't say that I initially liked the buttons on the left... and it
irritated me that I couldn't move them back, however thanks to this
thread I know how to move them, and knowing that I can... I haven't...
I think that's a worthwhile lesson TBH, force a change and it will upset
people, but if the
