A new, related issue happened as I upgraded around 01:00 on the 22nd... after upgrading on reboot, the system failed to start becuase it could not find init. This was because it mounted subvolume 0 as the root filesystem (in the initrd?) I set the default subvolume to @, and the system then booted... but since subvol=@home in /etc/fstab was then relative to the default subvolume it failed to find the correct volume to mount for /home.
I replaced the subvol= with the matching subvolid= and then everything worked again. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/721546 Title: BTRFS install left 700 permissions on /, system unusable. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
