After a remove --purge, reinstall

I may have actually figured out the real problem, I was copying my home folder
to usb stick with
#cp -r ~/ /mnt/media/usb
I didnt realize it was copying the hidden files too, so I had hidden usr
system files from multiple machines on every machine.

Since updating the weekend, this issue has started happening on boot as
well. It takes about 3 "REISUB" reboots to actually boot successfully.
It happens after the boot options appear, and before the purple Ubuntu
logo + loading dots appear. I looked at Xorg.0.log but it does not
report any errors.
The solution from LocutusOfBorg does not work on Linux Mint 12 64bit.

I have attached strace and gdb output. I couldn't find a way of starting
Valgrind for an existing pid, nor could I find a way of starting
unity-panel-service manually (I'm assuming it errors because it's already
running...).

seems to be working now. Perhaps it was an issue with AMD's driver.

I can confirm the same scenario I had in the original bug report but
with the newer drivers that have since been released, this bug appears

deleting /run and re-making it worked.

I use the Firefox Nightly build for most of my browsing, although I do have the
Beta build installed as sort of a "backup."
Unfortunately, when I download a file, the progress bar appears over the normal
Firefox icon, instead of Nightly's icon, EVEN THOUGH the downloads wind
Pdfedit is listed as being avalible but it's not avalible.

ran into this issue in a 12.04 upgrade, my conf is spread across include
files based on usage.
I had this for 5.1 (note the two server settings):
/etc/mysql/conf.d$ cat charset.cnf
This happened again this morning from cold boot. It took 3 reboots to
get it up. Is there anything I can do to stop this bug being expired?

I confirm I also have this bug with Spotify.
If I launch from the unity panel, it often shows a blank icon. If I
fully exit Spotify and launch it in the same way (from the unity bar) it
then works and "merges" with the launcher.
The blank icon is clickable and does bring up Spotify.

The issue seems to be resolved after removing libcups2:i386 but keeping
libcups2.
I'll run a fs and mem test and if I find anything peculiar will post an update.
