There's two ways to apply filters to selected messages:
1. From the menu Message/Apply Filters
2. Pressing the asigned hot key (Ctrl+Y)
If you select some messages and us
Well, the problems doesn't seems to be related to hot key.
The file filters.xml was corrupted, and bringing a backup solved the
problem.
How did it get corrupted?... that's the question.
Before getting this odd behavior, I deleted a folder that was used in one of
the filters.
After deleting the
adding the group nvram worked for me.
could this be automatically done when installing libnss-ldap or libpam-
ldap ?

Could you check if the sound properties in the user enviroment (KDE or
Gnome) are properly configured?
In Gnome, go to System/Preferences/Sounds and check if the settings are
the same for the working user and the others.

Runing ltsp on edgy:
When declaring more than one printer for a client, only the first
(PRINTER_0_DEVICE) is finally configured in the client machine, no
lp_server is started for PRINTER_[1-9]_DEVICE
Since we use an old pc as print server, w
still the same in edgy up-to-date for today.

In package ltsp-client, using Edgy up-to-date
In the documentation file for the lts.conf parameters, the option to set
the printer as write only is documented as 'serial only', but it was
necessary for me to make it work for paralel printers.

setting it in lts.conf, or adding it in /etc/modules (inside client
chroot)
If printing is mean to be out-of-the-box, shouldn't this modules be
loaded automatically?

The fix is real simple, just added a --continue to the line where the
wget command is generated (in
synaptic-0.57.11ubuntu12/gtk/rgmainwindow.cc)

I have a fresh edgy install and libnss_ldap.conf has permissions 644.
What version of ubuntu are you using?
If the file has permissions 600 and you run dpkg-reconfigure libnss-
ldap, are permissions set to 644?

To update your packages, you can use the update-manager application
(system/administration/update manager).
It would be helpfull to know if the program is reporting any error when
launching it. To do this, open a terminal (Applications/Accesories/Terminal)
and run gaim from inside the terminal.

The script generated by synaptic to download pakages, using the option
in File menu, does not continue is stoped, and starts all over again
each time it's executed.
The script generated is very simple, it just calls wget for each file
needed.

The same happens to me since breezy.
The recent documents gets populated after you open a file from nautilus.
In a ltsp server with dapper, the list is cleared again after some time
until you open some file again. In this case I'm using a nfs mount as
home for the users.
