Public bug reported: To make paralel printers work, module lp needs to be loaded, either by setting it in lts.conf, or adding it in /etc/modules (inside client chroot)
If printing is mean to be out-of-the-box, shouldn't this modules be loaded automatically? In that case, the default /etc/modules could contain the most common modules needed for printing, like lp. I haven't tried yet with usb printers, but if modules needs to be loaded for usb printers, it would be nice if they're autoloaded from /etc/modules. ** Affects: ltsp (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Add printer related modules to /etc/modules https://launchpad.net/bugs/94086 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
