I will try with 5.4.0-39 and report back. It takes a while for our
workload to run before it starts hitting the issue, but I can give a
somewhat confident answer in an hour or so. By tomorrow I will be very
sure. I'm optimistic.

I'm sad to say, but it seems it did not fix our problem. The crash

Hi Matthew, thanks a lot for looking into this. Like you, I looked at
Git to double-check, and thought the fix was in there, but it was next
on my list to actually double-double-check, since I thought it so
strange the issue wasn't gone.
Thanks for offering to build a test kernel! I will have a go
No worries Guilherme, that explains it.
I've now built my own kernel from the Ubuntu-5.4.0-38.42 Git tag, which
I've verified includes the fix. I'm running our workload again with this
kernel and will know within a few hours whether it's looking good. The

Ah, I would really like to get this job that is running done first. It's
processing some data we need to ideally should deliver on Monday. It's
looking good so far, so I'm quite confident the fix is good.
When it's done processing, I can give 5.4.0-40 from proposed a try and
restart the job again.
Public bug reported:
I get thin tinny sound.
On ubuntu 19.10 I was able to work around this by running:
sudo hda-verb /dev/snd/hwC0D0 0x14 SET_CONNECT_SEL 0x0c
But that doesn't seem to work on 20.04 and I haven't been able to work out what
I need to do to get sound working acceptably.

Played around with hda-analyzer and managed to get half decent sound.
I've added the python code it generated.
But I don't know how to configure things so that the volume keys adjust it.
Attachment of the python should be below.

I saw in another bug that it would help if I ran RtHDDump.exe from
windows 10. So I have and that should be attached next. The sounds in
windows 10 is _great_.

This is a problem for us as well. We're using Docker as part of our
toolchain for creating a file system for a disk image for our product,
and need to be able to run "prime-select intel" during the Docker image

Any idea when this will hit -updates, now that the verification is done?

When using AUTORCC with the Ninja generator, the generated qrc_*.cpp.o

After much testing I found what is causing the regression in 16.04 and

choices made in debian/rules and the changes in GCC.

Would be great if someone could at least respond to this 8+ month old

We're still suffering from this Qt bug, and have to put in lots of ugly

I'm not sure, should I subscribe someone else to this, and if so, who?

Hi Dimitry!
No problem. In fact, I've cherry picked the fix from Qt 5.6 and created
an updated package. I'm building it at the moment to test. I'll fill out
the SRU template as well, and attach a debdiff if it seems to work OK.
Sorry for not sticking to the SRU procedure to begin with, I know I w
