I have installed a fresh Ubuntu 11.10 i386 and the sound fx of volume
increase/decrease works. After install all the suggested upgrades and
after reboot the sound disappear. The audio works good and the command
increase/decrease volume works too, but can't hear that "pop!" sou
board. I'm sorry but I don't know the name of the event sound, that's
why I wrote "Pop!" that is what it seems like in my head when i hear it:
like a bubble popping.

backlight control is not working. It just sets 2 values (looks like it's
minimum and maximum backlight) randomly when I move the slider. F1 and F2 are
not working at all and xbacklight has the same issue

After installing all the updates (I have all repositories enabled) QT4 Designer
does not obey anymore to the widget style set with QT Config, I always get
Oxygen; but most serious problem is that all menus are empty: they are drawn
correctly with the right small icons, but
No change even with 4.4.0-1ubuntu4.
I realized that menus are drawn correctly only if the QT style is set to oxygen
with QTConfig; with any other style the designer keeps in oxygen but without
menus.

But now that opensync-plugin-sunbird has been removed, how can I synchronize
data with sunbird/lightning? even if the internal calendar format has changed
to sdb, it is always possible to use the ics format as "internet calendar" and

Binary package hint: evince
I have a PDF that is not correctly rendered in evince (2.24.1) but it is
perfect in okular (kde 4.1.3) and pdfedit (1.4).
I think it is a evince bug since the same poppler should be shared with okular.
( obviously an interesting sample PDF :-P )
I know that there are different bindings for QT and GLib, but I thought that
the backend was the same...
So the rendering can be completely different in the two cases?

I am using gthumb to import photos from my Canon Ixus 850IS (I don't like
f-spot).
But in intrepid the camera is automatically mounted by
gvfs-gphoto2-volume-monitor as a removable media (even if it uses PTP
protocol), and gthumb can not access it until I manually unmount it.

installing the 2.6.24 kernel and booting from it. IMHO the bug is in the
driver of the kernel..
