I need to create a /etc/sysctl.d file for SheepShaver. It dies unless
vm.mmap_min_addr = 0 but if I put this line in sysctl.conf, nothing
happens. This used to be the fix to get the programme to run. What do I
need to do to get Sheepshaver to have vm.mmap_min_addr = 0?

I can confirm same warnng in gnome-sys-log on Karmic 9.10. which may
have to do with problem I am experiencing with an unresponsive nautilus

The persistant problem since Karmic seems to be partially solved by
reseting puleaudio by moving the puleaudio config files

1. Open Home folder
2. Right click on problem folder
3 Choose Open With
4. Choose Other Application...
5. Make sure "remember this application for folder files" is clicked

Setting
managed=true
in /etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf
Has no effect.
If I try to restart network-manager:
sudo restart networkmanager
restart: Unknown job: networkmanager
