I am unclear on this. I need to use gksudo to do something in a script, but
need to preserve the env variables. I am using Hardy. I still see the behavior
noted in the bug.
If this can be cleared up, it would help me.

Is there any, even temporary, fix for this? I'm using Hardy, and the fix
proposed in the duplicate didn't work for me. I hate the high-contrast

As of my upgrade to the Lucid beta, my mouse stops working sporadically.
It happens every few days or so, it seems. The pointer works, but clicks
don't, and focus-follows-mouse doesn't work.
I have a Logitech MX Revolution.
I had to restart in order to get it to work again.

I see this as well, but in Karmic on my Acer Aspire One. Sometimes when
you remove the adapter it still says it is plugged in, all the way until
it dies. Going and standby then waking up again seems to correct the
issue for me, for that charge at least.

That is possible. I've only used one ISO for checking the bug, so that
explains why I always see the same number.
So feature, not bug? if so terribly implemented. 'Free space after
burning would be more appropriate, and neither is useful in a CD burning
situation where adding files is very rare.
