Although we had this bug tagged as apport-failed-retrace, the backtraces
are god enough (only one call in glib2 is missing, consistently, at the
start of a thread).

The problem is that on already-configured dovecot installations there is
a chance that the dovecot-postifx.conf will not work out-of-the-box. I
am sure that for *new* installations of dovecot the provided d-p.conf
will work fine -- but this is not to be expected for existing installs.

heh. Because I thought (wrongly, perhaps) that integration between
Dovecot and postfix would be nice...
Of course (and no need to rub it even more on my face, it is already
smeared all over ;-), I should have been more careful, and installed it
first on a test machine.

(1) usplash is getting lost, and hosing your terminal;
(2) X is failing to startup (or the system is being hit by a hard kernel panic).

The patch was adjusted and accepted in coreutils GIT, and should make it
into Ubuntu when coreutils 7.1x is sync-ed/merged, perhaps on Karmic.

Sorry, Mike, I did not comment before because I (wrongly) considered you
had already seen your issue: at one point in time either you ran
seahorse or gpg under sudo or gksudo.
Your issue was somehow the ./gpg files got owned by root. This is
different from Ithor.

I am not sure this will ever be resolved, if left for upstream: Mozilla
requires some actions from cacert.org, and cacert.org is taking a sweet
long time to respond (or comply with MF requirements); Evo upstream is
tending to consider this, then, as NOTGNOME (which makes sense).
And the Ubuntu use
upstream has just committed a fix for this, and we might have it on next
refresh for g-t.

If libpst-dev is not available, the Evolution-plugins package will be
built *without* the pst-import plugin (which is the new plugin
supporting the Outlook PST conversion. There is no option to build
stand-alone the plugin.
