Hi aliendude5300, It is difficult to say what information we will need, since you did not provide any details on what happens. "I am unable to boot with the new kernel" really does not give us anything to work on, not even to tell you what we might need. Anyway, let's try:
- did you drop into busybox? - Is anything displayed on the boot? If so, what? - does it stop at a specific place during the boot? If so where, and what messages are displayed? - is the system totaly unresponsive? If not, what can you do? - what kernel version (exact package name, "2.6.28" will not help)? Please have a look at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingKernelBoot, and we will go from there. -- Unable to boot system after updating to latest kernel 2.6.28-10-generic https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/344615 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
