dialog, asking me to provide my password (for a gvfs daemon in the
details tab [I'm not at home so I can't say exactly]) and mount read-

Yes it's reproducible, after startup you have to authenticate the first time
you plug-in the device, afterwards it mounts automatically, but read-only again.
To reproduce install jaunty and upgrade to karmic, but it worked after the
update so it must have been some of the following ones.

the volume until its muted
Again forgot to say that I upgraded to intrepid yesterday.

This is really strange, I'm using latest jaunty and the behaviour was
exactly the same on intrepid. My Sansa E260 only mounts automatically
when my sandisk cardreader with an inserted and mounted card is present,
otherwise dmesg will tell me that usb is waiting for the player
Indeed, it mounts when using mtp, even without my actual problem with
the cardreader. Either way, something is wrong here and should be fixed.
I'll provide any information necessary, just tell me what you need.
MSC mode mounts two devices (SD Player, this is because I had to unbrick
mine, and Sand

I deleted the .thumbnails folder to get a fresh start, now it doesn't
create any thumbnails and the gdb command yields:

I think it has something to do that the onboard card gets higher alsa
priority so it is used instead of the pci soundcard. Maybe this an alsa
bug, should I file a bug for it?

I'm using edgy on amd64. Nautilus 2.15.4 (spatial). When opening my home
folder from the desktop (using nautilus all the time) the first time it
doesn't show everything, when closing and opening it again it shows
everything. Can't notice a pattern.

When booting I get a "waiting for root filesystem", it reboots three
times and then I get a initramfs console with the error message:
/bin/sh: can't access tty: job control turned off". This is edgy on
amd64.

Then there seems to be a problem with the fix as 2.6.17-7 reverted my
lvm back to uuid.
