The problem occured after upgrade from Intrepid to Jaunty. In the GTK+
based apps, when I try to enter …, using Compose key + dot + dot, I get

I have one user and set up autologin using system preferences - users.
Gdm didn't start after reboot, leaving just a blank screen
So I used lightdm instead and now I here. Nothing in dmesg, syslog or
something. The bug is reproducible.

Fullscreen windows are not really a fullscreen — there is a 1px lag
between the window and the border of the screen. And if there is another
window under current — I can click on it, it will raise. If not, I can
click on the desktop.

Launch checkbox
Checkbox will ask you for a user password — press "Cancel".
Close the checkbox window.
After nearly 25 seconds the user password dialog will appear again. If
you press cancel again — it will re-apper again after same time.

OK, but I closed the checkbox's windows. I expect, that this also close
all backends and subprocesses. Of course, it's not a major bug, but
still, if I close the window, I expect the application to shut down.

I can confirm the bug on Natty. The bug itself depends on an icon theme
— for example, it works with Faenza and Gnome-colors.
As a workaround, I deleted pidgin icons from these themes — this cause
pidgin to use the default icon, which is working fine.
