I did not remove anything manually. Possibly a bug in the package.
My system now shows 7.10 when i boot up, even though the upgrade/install
aborted.
So what can i do now? Download and install this package again?

I have the same problem on initial log in and if I logout and log back
in. The KNetworkManager never docks in the system tray and is always
displayed as a normal application. Network connection is fine.

Well, I don't know if it's the system or if it's my laptop, but once in
a while the OS will freeze so to speak. The cursor moves, but when you
click on an application, or even the Quit button the system doesn't
respond.

i confirm this behaviour of making a 1 track un-earable while just copying the
audio CD using the FEISTY distro.
My workaround, curently, is to use command line with cdparanoia and
cdrecord :-(

I have the same problem on my laptop (Fujitsu AMILO Pi 2530) with Gutsy
the battery is given for 3 hours of autonomy but it's saying 1h15 98% ;

The tzdata error appeared - I continued the upgrade. It went from bad to
worse to horrid. In the end upgrade reported it could not complete. Some
fleeting statement to the effect of a recovery appeared then went away.
For 30 minutes nothing happened. I then restarted --- I would have been
better se
I think the problem was that the transition was not handled properly during
the upgrade. I've since reload ed that system and it has worked as expected
(even switching on and off of compiz).

AFter upgrading to Hardy, suspend worked but resume consistently failed: the
laptop froze straight after resuming, without the smallest disk activity, no
LCD backlight, no blinking cursor. The magic-key combination (Alt-SysReq) didnt
