In order of appearance they mean:

* 语言 -> spoken language
* 您 -> polite form of "you"

Could you please try if all the characters show correctly in CP1251 encoding?
The font is modified CP1251 according to uralic needs.
If this works, I will create a second font for Unicode.
However, that character mappings will be different and webpages and do

I have added scim-m17n to the language-support-input-vi metapackage.
This should pull the packages in automatically when installing language-support
for Vietnamese.
However, we cannot choose a specific IM to be the 'default' when the scim
applet shows up. The user has to select the module he want
The original debian maintainer of libm17n is MIA, so Harshula, who also
packaged the -contrib, -docs and -db packages, took it over and is
currently working on packaging the latest upstream version. So, it seems
we still have to wait a week or two until we have up-to-date packages.

Fixed in Hardy: The language-support-writing-nl metapackage has a
dependency on myspell-nl. Choosing Dutch in language-selector now should
install this package.

As of Hardy the "AR PL UMing" fonts are monospaced for the Latin
characters. This has been fixed in ttf-arphic-uming
0.2.20080216.1-0ubuntu1. Also in Hardy (language-selector >=0.3.0) the
preferred fonts for monospace in zh_CN locale are: Bitstream Vera Sans
Mono, DejaVu Sans Mono, WenQuanYi ZenHei
At least for Hardy this should not be a problem any more. The locale specific
font preferences have a "prepend" binding. That means they will be put at the
beginning of the font list, which is composed by fontconfig. Other matching
fonts for the same family will be appended. A list containing al
somehow.
