This bug went away after connecting the ipod to a mac with iTunes and
re-installing the firmware. Presumably an ipod bug (possibly from
disconnecting without ejecting) and not an amarok bug. Happy to close

the rt2500pci driver on an old PCI wifi card (which, incidentally,
worked flawlessly, fast and smooth on Feisty Fawn!) and installing

Not sure if this is a duplicate of Bug #67264 or not (as that's on the
Ubuntu LiveCD, not the Kubuntu CD... Still similar situation:

have lost all the information stored on it - it starts up and menus etc

the same ipod to Amarok: clearly it's not JUST a Rythmbox issue, but

I see a number of vaguely similar Rhythmbox bus already on launchpad but
this seems to be a new one:
there's a problem with my (old, grayscale 40 Gb, non-click-wheel, non-
artwork) iPod (I think the Itunes db is broken/corrupted) and I thought
I've upgraded to Gutsy beta and the problems are no longer recurring. I
will update this bug if the problems start again.

Problem still occurring (I'm now using the latest gutsy).
Using the defauly ubuntu way of managing my desktops/screens:
System --> Administration --> Screens and Graphics
Graphics card driver: nvidia

Same problem on my laptop. Running Unbuntu Feisty (7.04) on a Dell D620.
The problem have just begun recently after an update... The system beep
disappears after enabling and disabling it manually.

Manual workaround as suggested in the comments on Bug #121203 work now
too: manually click to open the ipod folders automounts the ipod in the
desired location.
