Public bug reported: Binary package hint: amarok
When connecting an old ipod which recently got hung up (and now seems to have lost all the information stored on it - it starts up and menus etc work but there is no content - no music) I try to 'Connect' to this device in AmaroK (which I've used without much problem before). When I select Connect, /var/log/syslog reads: Oct 16 12:31:54 plasken kernel: [ 6716.156410] FAT: Filesystem panic (dev sdh2) Oct 16 12:31:54 plasken kernel: [ 6716.156416] fat_bmap_cluster: request beyond EOF (i_pos 49765554) Oct 16 12:31:54 plasken kernel: [ 6716.156422] FAT: Filesystem panic (dev sdh2) Oct 16 12:31:54 plasken kernel: [ 6716.156424] fat_bmap_cluster: request beyond EOF (i_pos 49765554) Oct 16 12:31:54 plasken kernel: [ 6716.156429] FAT: Filesystem panic (dev sdh2) Oct 16 12:31:54 plasken kernel: [ 6716.156431] fat_bmap_cluster: request beyond EOF (i_pos 49765554) Oct 16 12:31:54 plasken kernel: [ 6716.156436] FAT: Filesystem panic (dev sdh2) Oct 16 12:31:54 plasken kernel: [ 6716.156438] fat_bmap_cluster: request beyond EOF (i_pos 49765554) Oct 16 12:31:54 plasken kernel: [ 6716.156444] FAT: Filesystem panic (dev sdh2) Oct 16 12:31:54 plasken kernel: [ 6716.156446] fat_bmap_cluster: request beyond EOF (i_pos 49765554) Oct 16 12:31:54 plasken kernel: [ 6716.156451] FAT: Filesystem panic (dev sdh2) Oct 16 12:31:54 plasken kernel: [ 6716.156453] fat_bmap_cluster: request beyond EOF (i_pos 49765554) Oct 16 12:31:54 plasken kernel: [ 6716.156459] FAT: Filesystem panic (dev sdh2) Oct 16 12:31:54 plasken kernel: [ 6716.156461] fat_bmap_cluster: request beyond EOF (i_pos 49765554) Oct 16 12:31:54 plasken kernel: [ 6716.156467] FAT: Filesystem panic (dev sdh2) Oct 16 12:31:54 plasken kernel: [ 6716.156469] fat_bmap_cluster: request beyond EOF (i_pos 49765554) Oct 16 12:31:54 plasken kernel: [ 6716.156476] FAT: Filesystem panic (dev sdh2) Oct 16 12:31:54 plasken kernel: [ 6716.156478] fat_bmap_cluster: request beyond EOF (i_pos 49765554) Oct 16 12:31:54 plasken kernel: [ 6716.156483] FAT: Filesystem panic (dev sdh2) Oct 16 12:31:54 plasken kernel: [ 6716.156485] fat_bmap_cluster: request beyond EOF (i_pos 49765554) Oct 16 12:31:54 plasken kernel: [ 6716.156490] FAT: Filesystem panic (dev sdh2) Oct 16 12:31:54 plasken kernel: [ 6716.156492] fat_bmap_cluster: request beyond EOF (i_pos 49765554) Oct 16 12:31:54 plasken kernel: [ 6716.156498] FAT: Filesystem panic (dev sdh2) Oct 16 12:31:54 plasken kernel: [ 6716.156500] fat_bmap_cluster: request beyond EOF (i_pos 49765554) Oct 16 12:31:54 plasken kernel: [ 6716.156506] FAT: Filesystem panic (dev sdh2) Oct 16 12:31:54 plasken kernel: [ 6716.156508] fat_bmap_cluster: request beyond EOF (i_pos 49765554) Oct 16 12:31:54 plasken kernel: [ 6716.156513] FAT: Filesystem panic (dev sdh2) Oct 16 12:31:54 plasken kernel: [ 6716.156515] fat_bmap_cluster: request beyond EOF (i_pos 49765554) Oct 16 12:31:54 plasken kernel: [ 6716.156520] FAT: Filesystem panic (dev sdh2) Oct 16 12:31:54 plasken kernel: [ 6716.156522] fat_bmap_cluster: request beyond EOF (i_pos 49765554) Oct 16 12:31:54 plasken kernel: [ 6716.156527] FAT: Filesystem panic (dev sdh2) Oct 16 12:31:54 plasken kernel: [ 6716.156529] fat_bmap_cluster: request beyond EOF (i_pos 49765554) Amarok offers to initialize the ipod as it says it cannot find the ituned Db on the device. If I select yes, AmaroK gives an error message saying it failed to initialize the device, Amarok does handle this issue better than Rythmbox ( see bug# 122531 ) but could anyone please advise on a possible resolution? ** Affects: amarok (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Amarok cannot re-initialize (broken?) ipod https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/153260 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Team, which is a bug contact for amarok in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
