Although I have installed the driver for Atheros AR5007EG on a Toshiba
A200 laptop, which is included in the mentioned package, it loads at
startup, but System/Administration/Hardware Drivers (or whatever) tells
me that it is loaded, but not used. In order to force Ubuntu to u
I managed to find out that it has to do with sessions. If I delete the contents
of the $HOME/.cache/sessions directory or have never saved any session, the bug
is reproduced. Here's a better steps-to-reproduce:
1) Delete all the files from $HOME/.cache/sessions.
2) Set the splash image to balou.

When I try to install a package in 8.10 from the Ubuntu CD using
Synaptic Package Manager, it fails.
Steps to reproduce:
1) Enable the check box in Software Updates relevant to the CD and save changes.
2) Insert the CD and wait until it is mounted.

I got a memory leak, switched from Compiz to Metacity and there was a
drop in memory usage (can't remember how much), but it was not
significant. I think that we should add xserver-xorg-video-intel in

My laptop got locked up again this morning. I checked kern.log and noticed:

After upgrading to UbuntuStudio 18.04, Kicad 4.0.7 won't display its graphics
properly, neither Eeschma, not Pcbnew.
As the mouse moves around the screen displays the cross that follows it many
times (image won't refresh), in both Eeschema and Pcbnew, and Pcbnew won't show

This bug makes organizing files with Nautilus on Ubuntu 16.04
irritating.
It's been 2 years since the original bug report.

@Sebastien Bacher I'm on Ubuntu Gnome 16.04. The Nautilus version is
3.14.3 and there is no 'open-folder-on-dnd-hover' setting at the dconf.
It seems that the bug fix was implemented for a later release of
Nautilus... :(

Well it seems that the Ubuntu Gnome team has no plans to fix this for 16.04
LTS.
You can either add the Gnome Team staging :ppa from Launchpad and
upgrade Gnome to 3.20 (not ideal, because it might break the system) or
move to another distro.

A workaround that I have just found is to remove your wireless network
from nm-connections-editor and connect to it. After doing this, nm-
connections-editor does not display any warnings, my wireless password
appears when I try to edit my connection and the option to make it
available to all users
