I can also verify this bug. I'm actually using Kubuntu edgy, but probably this has nothing to do with the DE.
I have a suggestion: I've found this bug in the OOo database that may be the cause of the error: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=41748 >From what I've read there, it may be because of bad packaging of the libxml2 library. Specifically, there are two XML parsers: SAX1 and SAX2. Starting with 2.6.17, libxml2 defaults to SAX2, whereas previously it was SAX1. According to the but report, libxml2 must now be compiled with "--with_sax1=yes" in order to work with OOo. Can the ubuntu packagers confirm that libxml2 has SAX1 support in it? -- OpenOffice.org crashes when trying to digitally sign a document https://launchpad.net/bugs/48040 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
