I installed the packages and executed ‘sa-update’ and ‘sa-compile’.
Executing the command ‘sudo systemctl restart spamassassin.service’ gave

I am running 24.10 and the previous workaround would give me no shim
error and would immediately return back to the boot menu. I forced a
phased grub update on an HP Victus 15-fb1XXX and memtest I had
previously signed as previously now works fine.

I am glad this restored socket-activation for you. I am not sure how to
further investigate the bug. If you are able to find some error in the
journal, or evidence that ssh.socket was listening on the wrong port
etc.,

I checked unbound Noble version and we only diverge from debian in that
we don't build with hiredis on i386. Therefore, the behaviour has to be
the same.

The processor temprature is often reported as the mid 90s C (in
/sys/class/thermal/thermal_zone1/temp).
The other 3 NUC systems (reporting much cooler) all have a

Agreed that this is potentially a major change, but it's also how the
software is intended to work. Without it, Intel is noting random crashes
in popular applications like Pytorch, a problem which has been worse on
