Public bug reported: Hi,
Ubuntu still comes with ImageMagick 6.9.12.98+dfsg1-5.2build2 , but https://legacy.imagemagick.org/ calls this a "legacy" version and recommends to upgrade to version 7. Using an outdated "legacy" version makes it difficult to report bugs and impossible to get bug fixes. regards ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 24.04 Package: imagemagick 8:6.9.12.98+dfsg1-5.2build2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 6.8.0-48.48-generic 6.8.12 Uname: Linux 6.8.0-48-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: zfs ApportVersion: 2.28.1-0ubuntu3.1 Architecture: amd64 CasperMD5CheckResult: pass CurrentDesktop: XFCE Date: Fri Nov 8 23:43:58 2024 InstallationDate: Installed on 2022-12-25 (684 days ago) InstallationMedia: Xubuntu 22.04.1 LTS "Jammy Jellyfish" - Release amd64 (20220809.1) SourcePackage: imagemagick UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to noble on 2024-06-24 (137 days ago) ** Affects: imagemagick (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug noble -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2087708 Title: ImageMagick outdated To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/imagemagick/+bug/2087708/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
