Found a workaround.
Looks like docky was unable to find the directory(or it was looking in
the wrong directory).
Create a directory in your home folder name it ".docky".
And for me Docky is working fine.
I am using ubuntu 12.10 x86_64 and i was having the same problem.

thank you for the long list. You describe realy usefully things and with
a little luck someone will pick them up for a upcoming Mixxx version.
Unfortunately we cannot track them with this meta bug.
There is a better chance to see them implemented if you split them up into
small tasks.
If you have linux-generic installed, it will keep your kernel and
headers in sync. There was an unfortunate bug in the quantal installer
that removed linux-generic and broke this slightly.

This is a great idea! I have some concerns though, at the moment in the
Unity Backlog I see the bug #893652 which is regarding the showing of
files which have been recently opened by a program. If this feature and
the other one are combined, the quicklist might grow out of control.
