Hi Evan,thanks for attention. version from repository of 12.04 if i have time i try the version in quantal and the version of raring. procedure: (i do) 1) open wireshark from Xubuntu menu. (is the same with terminal).
2) click on icon with wrench and hardware object. (show the capture options...) 3) don't find in "Interface" the interface and selector is obscured. (for now is not blocked or crashed) 4) Try to write manually the interface name (es. Wlan0) 5) program crasched.
