/usr/share/initramfs-tools/hook-functions) is that it
checks the output of
mount
to see where / is mounted, and it's finding that it says /dev/root - and
so that's what it uses /dev/disk/by-uuid to look at via blkid to

2012-10-06) and others, of creating a directory whose name is my
username in /media, and this worked for me too. Now mounts of removable
media show up under that subdirectory instead of directly under /media.

somehow.
Note: If someone sees more cases of this then it's probably worth figuring out
if there is something causing them to be left behind rather than it being one

Yes I suspected it was UTF-16, I don't know much about tools that deal with
UTF-16 stuff, certainly haven't come across grep like things that do. There
are suggestions on sites to try using iconv to convert your data 1st.
But, as I say, I wouldn't expect grep to deal with UTF-16.

I have stripped out the timestamps so I could do a diff of the two log
files (there is probably a way to skip the first n charactors of each
line in diff, but I did not see it in a quick look at the docs).

graphics driver, before in ubuntu 12.04 it was working very well with
the intel drivers out of the box.

"~/fontconfig" was created and not deleted. This happened on my two
machines.

support) of BQL (linux 3.3), fq_codel (linux 3.5), and TCP small queues

Ubuntu did not include PackageKit 0.8.x, but only this series contains my patch
to use pkttyagent.
You can try the packages from Debian Experimental (but they might not work on
Ubuntu) or wait for the next Ubuntu.

I'm sorry, I mean to say this bug is NOT still present in quantal.
Perhaps the fix could be backported? The fix is the same as that
mentioned above, and was added in 0.18.

first i want to say that the default nature of the amazon spam plugin
really is a violation of the community trust, and I highly advocate the
EFF's position on this plugin.. the user should have the choice *before*
their information is reported to some entity on the internet..
