After upgrading to 12.04 the touchpad and touchpad buttons on my Dell latitude
e6420 have stopped working.
It is not a kernel issue, it works on the login screen but stops when something
is loaded during login.
The pointing stick and the "upper" buttons work.

It's usually fine at slower speeds but once you want to get somewhere fast,

I can confirm this happens. This has nothing to do with workspaces from
the users perspective. Opening a browser window and any other app
windows ― Chrome won't be shown in the list of alt-tab. Also only having
Chrome opened doesn't show any list on pressing alt-tab.

I think that perhaps that change shouldn't affect the text color
(although border was also changed??). I plan to look into JDK/swing's
sources for theming info with native gtk look and see what they read as
what, but am quite busy with other things atm.

I have the same issue with Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64 bit on a MacBook Pro 8,1
(late 2011). Whenever I have Thunderbird open, my CPU usage shoots up to
about 20%, my laptop heats up and my battery gets drained atleast twice
or even thrice as quickly. Makes Thunderbird unusable on my laptop.
