As long as libraw is installed on the system, the normal Shotwell build
should link to it dynamically. If that doesn't seem to be happening and
it's unclear why, let us know and we can investigate more.

Here is my log following the instructions in comment #10 regarding the
PulseAudio logs. This bug manifests itself for me when using skype on
Oneiric with my logitech usb headset as the only active audio hardware
device (I made sure the internal audio device is OFF). The mic in that
state works for

experienced the corruption when using Chromium, when observing the same
webpage scrambled in Firefox.

I am also bugged by this non-bug. I find it impossible to listen to my
music and having to suddenly run back to my Ubuntu desktop to change the
profile using a mouse when I need to use the microphone. It would be
fabulous if desktop Linux could catch up in this department. Perhaps, as
