I have 2 monitors : one left and one front (the primary). In CCSM, i
configured the "Hide Launcher" item to "Never" so that the launcher is
always visible on the left of the front scre
Since Unity I use terminal to launch application because it's faster
than clicking the Ubuntu logo and waiting for it to display the
confusing panel where I have to write down the name of the app anyway.

one easy workaround for this problem is to disable the "Viewport Switcher" in
CompizConfig and enable the "Application Switcher" instead. This restores the
old alt+tab behavior although it loses some feature (for example I'm not able
to jump directly to ine desktop anymore).

I made some unrelated changes to menu.lst then did an update-grub.
To my surprise, in the diff it showed adding the line: "initrd

create a formula, press ESC. the formula should still be selected. press
CTL_F. try closing the find dialog.
plainly selecting formula and opening find dialog doesn't do this.
perhaps it's an intermittent bug.

Yes, the PDF displays the issue. You see those diacritics above the
letter ו ? They should be directly above it. Also the diacritic thats to
the left of the letter י should not be connected to it like it appears
but a little apart.

I use a USB mobile internet modem and this issue occurs whether or not
it has been plugged in and active at some point during my session, so I
do not think that it is modem-manager causing this. I can restart if I
have not logged in without a hang, but if logged in, whether network-
manager has bee
i still have this problem, when having several windows of one program open and
one of them is minimized.
double click on the application in the launcher shows them all up, but the
minimized one is invisible.
in ccsm i've set up fixed launcher and smallest icon size, if this helps.
any suggestions

Hello again, I have make some tests.

This seems to be an issue with the gnome-settings-daemon. When I run this line
I will have my icons back:
gnome-settings-daemon &
killall nautilus
Several users had this problem also with the previous versions. It
seemed to be a timing issue as if I started my X session with this it
worked.
