Public bug reported: I use Oneiric x86_64 on Lenovo X220i latop with Sandy Bridge processor (ntel(R) Core(TM) i3-2310M CPU @ 2.10GH). When powertop is run (under sudo) it reports certain numbers but it's obvious that these numbers are wrong. E.g.:
Summary: 0,0 wakeups/second, 0,0 GPU ops/second and 0,0 VFS ops/sec Frequency stats are all zeroes: 2,10 Ghz 0,0% | 2,10 Ghz 0,0% | 2,10 Ghz 0,0% 0,0% Powertop version reported is 1.97 (I suppose it's some kind of beta) ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 Package: powertop 1.97-2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-13.21-generic 3.0.6 Uname: Linux 3.0.0-13-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 1.23-0ubuntu4 Architecture: amd64 Date: Tue Nov 1 10:55:48 2011 EcryptfsInUse: Yes InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 11.10 "Oneiric Ocelot" - Release amd64 (20111011) ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE= PATH=(custom, user) LANG=ru_RU.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: powertop UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: powertop (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug oneiric -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/884607 Title: Powertop reports wrong numbers on Sandy Bridge processors To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/powertop/+bug/884607/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
