Yep. Trying to find a way to place my Nook app (via wine) in the
shortcut bar on the side. Don't want to use AWN or anything else. Ubuntu
shouldn't require you to search through folders in order to open an
application

I tried installing Ubuntu 8.04 which gets further but then consistently gets

i'm not upgrading evo atm, my last try (after this one) on another box
(still with 3.1.3) showed a freeze at startup with a stack starting with
gtk3 and ending somewhere in dbus. I don't have the luxury to break all
my desktops.

The Reboot command is missing from the system menu. Hard to test
