If you attempt to share a folder on a network, Nautilus prompts you to
install a package (Samba, I think) to make it work. However, when
browsing a windows network, it just *doesn't work*. Seeing as Nautilus
prompts you to install Samba in the first instance, it should do so
during any operation which requires it - instead of simply giving the
user the impression that Ubuntu does, in fact, *not* support Windows
networks and simply freezes when accessing them.
Of course, with Samba installed, Windows networking works like a charm.
I just think that to make it intuitive, Nautilus should make it clear
that Samba is required whenever it is, not just in one of many possible
operation which require it.
