Could not test it. Pulseaudio/totem bug with soundblaster live card:
pulseaudio eats 50% of CPU (Duron 700MHz). Additionnally I had to remove
xapian indexing (python apt thingy) stuff as it eats CPU and fairly too
much *resident* memory (100 MB for a 400MB system).

Hi Andy, Hi Jisaac. A pretty strange thing is the most bugs are
regressives. Display worked fine in Karmic, Blutooth worked fine on
Lucid, and microphone was low in lucid, and totally muted in maverick
(need to use the Jisaac's trick to bost it more than 300% to get a
normal Microphone).

Same problem with my new Toshiba c645 with an Intel P6100 cpu which has the
same "VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Core Processor Integrated
Graphics Controller (rev 02)" as the Core i processors.
This laptop has only VGA, no HDMI, too bad.

thanks a lot, it seems to be working now. though few strange things
happened initially -the first couple of times it would try to connect
and then stop recognising the modem. then i tried using my airtel sim
(gprs) with teracom modem amd it connected alright without any
problems. i tried again wit

I also have the problem of my mic and ear jacks not working, I suppose Core i
people to have the same problem on Ubuntu 10.10.
Its so frustrating to have my external 1080 LCD and speakers just taking a

I believe this is an inconsistency in the user experience and since the

I agree that this labeling should be changed. I think keeping the word
'preferences' out of it is a good idea since that is implied by it being
in the 'Preferences' Menu. I also think VoIP isn't an acronym that most
'average' users are going to understand. Perhaps "Internet Messaging and
Voice Chat
