system/preferences/appearance) to another one. Once done, the panel get

I have installed ubuntu 10.10 and am having the same problem as Josh
Benner. If I install gnome-do, I get a gnome-keyring password prompt,
and then the same problem as described above. The system freezes,
although I can still move my mouse. I had to remove gnome-do until this

I tried a maverick daily amd64 livecd, dated 2010-10-07 and md5sum
1b9df87e588451d2ca4643a036020410. This required a little fiddling to get
going (b43-fwcutter seems to have lost the script that downloads
firmware for you automatically). This was able to download ISO files,
survive being flood-ping

As for me maverick fixed the problem.
(Or maybe not maverick but something during the upgrade process itself?)

260.19.12-0ubuntu1~xup1 didn't heal the problem here either. Starting
stellarium leads to an immediate crash, speedcrunch starts, but crashes
X as soon as you run the mousepointer into it.

Still an issue on Ubuntu 10.10 with Pidgin 2.7.3 (libpurple 2.7.3) and
pidgin-otr 3.2.0. "Hide new IM conversation" is set to "Always" in
Pidgin preferences, yet incoming messages by OTR-enabled contacts
forcefully pop up in a window.

While I'm forced to take vacation from writing and testing patches due
to not having a working computer, could you please do the following:
* Check for bugs/patches upstream or report one there
* Check what is done in the kernel.ubuntu.com
This will help me once I have a working computer again
