I tried a maverick daily amd64 livecd, dated 2010-10-07 and md5sum 1b9df87e588451d2ca4643a036020410. This required a little fiddling to get going (b43-fwcutter seems to have lost the script that downloads firmware for you automatically). This was able to download ISO files, survive being flood-pinged, etc without any evident problem.
To summarize: 2.6.32-25.44 (lucid): system crash under heavy network load, restart required 2.6.35-22 (maverick): no evident problems 2.6.36-999.201010151118: fails under heavy network load, hibernating restores So either there's one bug which for some reason is differently visible in different kernels, or there are two separate bugs, one fixed after 2.6.32 and one introduced in 2.6.36. -- gpf in b43_dma_handle_txstatus https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/654838 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
