That means that you are working the computer too hard :)
On a serious note, do the fans in your computer seem to be working? If
not, there is probably a serious problem with ACPI, which you might be
able to resolve with a BIOS update, otherwise we will need to
find/develop a fix in Ubuntu.

3 days ago I rebooted the machine with mainline kernel:
2.6.34-020634-generic #020634 SMP Mon May 17 19:27:49 UTC 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux
and it works without any single failure. With the latest ubuntu-server 2.6.32
it crashed within few seconds after starting nfsd.

At this moment, every time that I press the "Activity" button in the top
bar, plasma-netbook crashes. It is automatically restarted, therefore I
don't know how to get more info for debugging. Any hint is welcome to

Thank you for that hint.
Although I do not intend to change to Lucid yet, I like to inform that
since approx. 2-3 weeks the reported bug also disappeared on my version.
I always continued doing updates for ubuntu 9.10 and I think it was
resolved after I got a bunch of updates inluding kernel 2.6.3
