Well, Kubuntu 8.10 was so buggy that I made the move to 9.04 - it couldn't be
worst - and I am happier. I recommend everyone with Kubuntu 8.10 and the use of
KDE4 to upgrade. 9.04 was much more stable. Kubuntu 8.10 is the worst release
of Kubuntu they ever made! :/

I whole heartedly agree. Using an .img file is madness!
I realize the target for the distro is USB sticks, but why is it a
problem to use an .iso file for this?
I've had to help several people figure out how to burn UNR to a CD
because they couldn't figure out how to put an .img file on a USB sti
We have and require udev, so MAKEDEV shouldn't be required at all? Can
it just be dropped?
