You are correct-- my printer was not connected when I did the plug-in
download. So now I have connected it and turned it on, and given an
order to print. It gives a "device communication error". So it seems

Same bug here, just installed Ubuntu 9.04 yesterday, I was using
wallpaper-tray from synaptic and as usual set it so that my wallpaper
change every minute and I found that every minute, in top, Xorg took up
to 97% of my CPU and was lagging the whole system for about 5 to 15

First someone suggested to modify my "/etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf"

So the problem is really a too big temporary file. Can you try replacing
your /usr/lib/cups/filter/pdftops file by the attached one (and make
sure that the permissions get conser
For some reason I've never tried hibernation but yesterday noticed this
actually works! Computer shuts down and happily restarts when I request
it. One minor problem is the PCMCIA wireless card doesn't automatically
re-initialise, but I can live with that.

Would it be possible to release Qt 4.5.1 into Jaunty proposed as a SRU?
It is a bug fix release, so the chance of a regression seems low enough,

After I return from hibernation, kopete reports that I am online, but I
don't see friends that are online. I have to set the status to offline
and that back to online to get the correct status. Also my friends don't
see me if I don't disconnect

The python2.6 transition change was fixed in Debian too, so the only
change left is the dependency on postfix over exim. I've submitted a
bug to Debian requested an alternative depend be added on postfix so the
package can be synced in the future.

i'm running jaunty release and the workaround of stopping the avahi-

brightnesscontrol doesn't work. Neither the Applet in the panel nor the
Fn-Keys cann change brightnesslevel. On-screen-notification shows the
