I can also confirm this happens in jaunty. I cannot say exactly what
causes it, but it happens after a few minutes whenever I boot my
computer, thus rendering my computer unusable. There is nothing
physically wrong with the hard drive as I've for one tried another one,

I can confirm the bug cannot be solved by reindexing, only by removing
the contents of ~/.cache/tracker, and of ~./.local/share/tracker/data.
After reindexing then, everything is fine (I'm using version
0.6.93-0ubuntu1).

Its a nvidia GeForce 6600 GT, and I'm using the Ubuntu restricted nvidia
driver called "NVIDIA accelerated graphics driver (version 180)

with the patch of April, 3th it solved for me, I could see compiz and
its effects on both screens.
With today jaunty update, I have the problem again, I can see compiz on
only half on second screen (maximum 3D texture size (2048) problem).
