I installed Ubuntu 8.10, and after installed all updates, samba doesn't work. I
can't connect to my shares (localhost).

bacula-director not being configured. This is not the reason why bacula-

I've upgraded to Ubuntu 9.04 today and also hated to be forced to have

Pedro, I also think the problem is due to gl based screensaver. After having
posted this bug I only enabled blank screensaver and I never had problems.
However I will try again to select a random screen saver and test if the bug is
still present in the current kernel version (I don't know if the
OK, I have upgraded again to jaunty.
X hung because it still used the radeon driver but tried to load some fglrx
extensions.
Forcing it to use fglrx results in error message that states that no supported
devices are found. (X1600 mobility is not that old...)

Upgrading 8.10 lpia to 9.04 lpia (beta/rc) with Network Manager on Acer
Aspire One.
No ath5k module present before, or after upgrade. This may have been
because the linux-backports-modules package was uninstallable in 8.10
lpia.
Manually installed linux-backports-modules-jaunty as per the workar
My currently updated 9.04 remix shows the same problem. The .deb posted
cannot be installed because the version installed is newer. Can anyone
point out how to solve this issue starting from an updated version?

Same here on a new MSI WIND U100 notebook with the netbook remix 9.04
downloaded and installed today.(RC?)
I already had it on the BETA 9.04 on my thinkpad T61, but this was only tested
on the usb boot.

Please leave TRIAGED bugs alone. This bug is well understood and already
sent to upstream which will be fixing it in OOo 3.2, hence it is
TRIAGED. TRIAGED is not a closed state so "reopening it" makes no sense
as you are not reopening the bug you are marking it is not handled yet,
which it
pommed is depreciated now. You should be able to get the backlight working
without it.
