I could not reproduce the crash reliably. The same file would crash once in a
while, sometimes during compiling, sometimes during saving and sometimes not at
all. Sometimes the file was damaged and sometimes not.

Same problem on Kubuntu 8.10 with OOo 2.4 (in writer, calc...) and other
KDE 3 applications (kaffeine). But when i tried to reproduce it with
Dragon player, no bug appeared and it worked perfectly. So, i think that

I now tested in a virtual machine that apt-get dist-upgrade worked
pretty fine for me for 8.04 LTS -> 8.10 (only some f-spot error at the

This is a known problem with libburn versions < 0.5.6. Please update to libburn
0.5.6 or newer, where this problem will not occur anymore.
I've made libburn 0.5.6 the required min
kdelibs is kde3. Moving to kde4libs.

I recently downloaded the vanilla linux kernel source and tried to compile it.
The system reboots when doing this as the temperature goes to 105 degrees.
I am using the governer "on-demand" for this.

I have tried using Ubuntu 8.10 and the mouse works perfectly, so I guess it is
a software problem with Kubuntu.
I will get back to you as soon as I have tried the code.
