I have exact the same problem, when trying to connect to my wpa2 entreprise
(peap) network, everytime my system freezes and the only solution is hard reset
(capslock/scrollock blinks). I didn't check other access points. The same
machine can connect using a zd1211 wnic.

There is no way (or I can't find any) that a casual user could fix the hardware
muted channel issue using graphical gnome-volume-control application and applet.

1. Subscribe to a podcast channel
2. You get the list of the avalaible chapters
3. Once you download one, you get as title the name of the mp3 file.

After a crash playing AC3 audio using VLC spdif and that's really
