Ok I installed the Intrepid debs. Didn't seem to make any difference to
tell you the truth. I'm currently running on dual screens of 1600x1200
and 1600x1024 (xorg.conf has Virtual 3200 1200).

I experience this very annoying bug since several months (after updating
from the nice Dapper LTS to Hardy one): I initially suspected a bad
network connection at one end but it seems this is not the problem.
I also observe that SCP tranfer rates and ETA are false and not updated
during the copies
When I print A4 (text or photos through f-spot) I have no problems at
all. AFAIK my printer cannot print this size borderless (altough I
didn't had time for extensive testing, like 13x18cm or other paper
formats). On A4, I have a little 3 or 4 mm border on every edge, image

I think it is more of a hack than a patch. The hack only works well on
version 2.4.1 of the driver and, as i understand, prevents output from
turning on/off endlessly. But if i am wrong please post a link to the
new patch.
