Found Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty of 04 January, 2009) on Cannonical download
WEB-page and downloading the install ISO file, afterwards upgrading
Ubuntu 8.10 version to 9.04 the SX105 Epson printer were recognised by
the op. system and the B&W and Colour printing resulted excellent!

I would like to ask for support for USB Hard drives, not only for USB

hard drives offer more space and are cheaper compared to the sticks. I
think it's also confusing
Following routine system updating on 4/1/09, the mounts now go through
perfectly (and fast). I don't know which particular update fixed it but
I can confirm that both 8.04 and 8.10 are now mounting NFS3 fine for me.
How does the bug get closed as fixed?

1. some people get these error messages, and their hardware doesn't work

i also didn't get anything resembling a module on my dmesg trace.
nonetheless, here it is. i had read elsewhere that the problem is due
to ram timing or something else beyond my comprehension, rather than a
hanging module.

I thought I'd try to get to the bottom of this by killing gnome-screensaver,
running
gnome-screensaver --no-daemon --debug > screensaver.debug 2>&1
and then doing gnome-screensaver-command -a
but when I did that, the screensaver worked correctly. I did some more
experimentation and found that if
